Sorry I haven’t been updating lately, I’ll write a big update post (or posts) soon! Meanwhile, here’s some fabulous art of Bliss from Cryamore, by our fearless team leader Rob :) Cryamore is rolling along nicely! I’m having loads of fun sound designing for it, making it very sparkly. It’s been one of the more satisfying sound design jobs I’ve had lately, since the aesthetic is sort of a modernized version of Japanese arcade/SNES-era style, in the audio too.

Pin-Up CALENDAR PROJECT: May - Princess Peach // Super Mario Bros
It is my turn to post! For the month May I chose the “damsel in distress” Princess Peach since spring colours go well with her character and her colours. I really like Peach in the Smash Bros Series, wish I could see some of that “badass” attitude in future games?

Pin-Up Calendar [April] - Vampire Princess Miyu
A Heroine Pin-Up calendar collaboration I made together with KICHISU
—- You can ORDER THE A3 CALENDAR HERE.—-Anyone remember this OVA? It meant so much to me at the time, and is still one of my favourites.
(I never saw the TV series though, because I thought the design work was not to my taste and it seemed it had lost most of it’s “dark mood”).
As soon as we decided that April was going be a month that was “mine” I was set on making something with cherry blossoms. I think this one is the picture that ended up closest to my original idea/thumbnail sketch, and painting went really smoothly. A little blending was done in SAI, and the rest in Photoshop.I hope you will like it!

I’ve been essentially listening to nothing but Aivi & Surasshu’s new release on Ubiktune, “The Black Box”. Nearly every track affects me emotionally in some way, and it’s one of the most perfect records I’ve ever had the pleasure to listen to.
I am not nearly as wonderful at making music as the both of them are, but basically ever since I first heard the record, themes from “Mika” and “Pocket Universe” specifically have been running through my head. I don’t know what compelled me to essentially ruin their beautiful song here, but I decided to sit down tonight and in some poor way try to pay tribute to the two of them by burping a segment of their beautiful melody into my gameboy. This was done in about… an hour and doesn’t even really scratch the surface on how this song makes me feel, but it’s also 4:45 AM and I can’t devote myself to this more than I irresponsibly allowed myself to here.
Basically, this is my way of inviting you to listening to their record, in which you will probably never wanna listen to me again. And that is completely okay. I grant you permission.
